Caterpillar 816F Landfill Compactor featuring: • CAT 3306 DITA Engine • Powershift Transmission • Cab (ROPS) w/ A/C • CAT Straight Landfill Blade • Caron Compactor Wheels • No Spin Front Differential • Front & Rear Striker Bars • Rear Radiator Guard • Lights, Wipers • Heater, Mirrors • Outside Mounted Mirrors • Rated at 235 HP • Weight 50,150 LBS In 2008, MEL sold this machine to a local Municipality.  At that time at 12,500 hours, MEL completed the following work: • Engine was removed from machine, disassembled and inspected for any needed repairs • Installed 6 NEW CAT piston and liner kits • Installed all NEW CAT standard main and rod bearings • Installed 6 NEW CAT injectors • REBUILT the cylinder head • Front and rear crankshaft seals were installed • REBUILT the engine oil pump • Installed NEW fan belts and tensioner bearings • Cleaned and pressure tested the radiator • Torque converter disassembled, checked and replaced bearings as required • Transmission disassembled, checked and replaced bearings as required • Installed NEW second gear clutch plates • All NEW seals were installed • Inspected transmission oil pump and installed NEW bearings • Inspected the transfer case and installed all NEW gaskets and seals • Dismantled, inspected and resealed the transmission control valve • Installed NEW bearings and seals on rear axle oscillation • NEW drive shaft and U joints were installed between the transfer case & the rear differential • NEW front drive shaft U joint installed The local CAT dealer completed the following repairs: At 14,132 hours, performed 500 hour service At 13,987 hours, performed 500 hour service At 13,940 hours, performed 1000 hour service At 13,830 hours, performed 250 hour service At 13,669, performed 1000 hour service At 13,579, performed 500 hour service At 13,310, performed 250 hour service At 13,093 hours, performed 1000 hour service At 12,908 hours, performed 250 hour service At 12,701 hours, performed 500 hour service At 12,612 hours, performed 250 hour service This unit will be put through our "Marcel Reconditioning Process" It will be thoroughly Cleaned, Inspected and all Needed Repairs & Servicing will be Completed.
