Overview
This new 2026 Peterbilt 567 conventional day cab is set up as a drywall and wallboard delivery crane truck. It is spec’d for hauling construction materials in construction and block service. The unit combines a Palfinger PW 42001-SH High Performance Hydraulic Loader, 6' hydraulic wallboard forks with rotator, and a 24.5' aluminum 102" treadplate deck with sliding winches. Engine start, engine stop, and on-demand remote throttle can all be controlled from the crane handset.
Engine & Drivetrain
The engine is a PACCAR MX-13 rated at 510 HP at 1,600 RPM and 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 RPM, governed at 2,200 RPM. It is a performance-rated, 2024-emissions engine with model year 2025 engine designation. The powertrain is optimized for performance in vocational applications or heavy GCW, with EMUX electronics architecture, engine monitoring protection with derate, and EPA engine idling compliance. Engine programming is set for a typical operating speed of 65 MPH, with a 68 MPH maximum accelerator pedal vehicle speed, a 68 MPH cruise control maximum, and a 650 RPM idle target. The idle shutdown timer is disabled, and MX retarder state with cruise control is on.
PTO mode control is available from both the cab and a remote station, with a dash-mounted PTO mode switch and a 12-pin remote PTO/throttle provision in the engine bay. The engine includes an MX compression brake with controls on the RH steering column, a WABCO 25.9 CFM air compressor, and a PACCAR fuel/water separator with an extended service interval. Supporting equipment includes a high-efficiency cooling system, a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stops, a firewall-mounted air cleaner, and a steel front engine support. A 5-year SmartLINQ remote diagnostics and over-the-air subscription for PACCAR MX engines is included.
Exhaust is a single RH setup with a DPF/SCR single module under the cab, a 24" tall, 5" diameter chrome standpipe with clear coat, and a curved tip. The electrical system includes a PACCAR 160 amp brushed alternator, a PACCAR premium starter, three PACCAR AGM 12V batteries rated at 2,775 CCA, a battery jumper terminal under the hood on the LH frame rail, a low-voltage disconnect, and a 110–120V immersion-type block heater.
The transmission is a PACCAR TX-18 PRO (PXDP-18F118D) automated 18-speed with an oil-to-water oil cooler and a column-mounted shifter on the RH side. It carries a performance shift calibration, an enabled second off-road shift calibration, a dash switch for Rock Free mode, and a neutral coast mode. The driveline consists of an SPL350 HD-XL main driveline with two midship bearings and an SPL250 XL interaxle driveline, both service-free. The rear axle ratio is 4.10.
Chassis & Axles
The wheelbase is 277", with a 68.2" front axle to back of cab, 208.8" cab to axle, and 360.8" cab to end of frame. The frame is built on 10-3/4" steel rails (445"–480") at 3/8" thickness with a full steel inner liner. The rails are zinc-coated and anti-corrosion treated, with aluminum crossmembers, heavy-duty iron front spring brackets, and a square end of frame for a body builder-installed crossmember.
The front axle is a PACCAR FX-20 rated at 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop in a wide-track configuration. Steering is TRW THP60 dual-gear power steering with a frame-mounted reservoir and cooler. The rear axle is a Dana Spicer D46-172 tandem rated at 46,000 lbs, with a tandem axle differential lock with speed interlock. It is set up with lift axle provisions, including a frame-mounted regulator with dash switch and gauge.
Factory chassis engineering ratings list a GAWR of 20,000 lbs front and 23,000 lbs on each rear drive axle, with a factory chassis GVWR of 66,000 lbs. Maximum grade rating is 6%.
Braking is air disc front and rear on PHP10 iron Preset+ hubs, with severe-service disc brake rotors and front pad dust shields. The braking system adds a 6S/6M anti-lock braking system, Bendix Smart ATC traction control, an SBM valve, and a pneumatic park brake. A tire pressure monitoring system and synthetic axle lubricant on all axles are included.
The air system uses a Bendix AD-HF EP air dryer with heater, coalescing filter, and extended purge. It has steel painted air tanks with pull cords, nylon chassis hose, and an end-of-frame 7-way socket with a body lighting junction box.
Fuel is carried in a polished 26" aluminum 80-gallon tank under the LH side of the cab, with a polished non-slip step and polished fuel/hydraulic tank straps. A heavy-duty 14-gallon DEF tank is mounted LH behind the cab under a polished stainless steel cover.
Suspension
The rear suspension is Peterbilt Air Trac rated at 46,000 lbs with 52" axle spacing. It uses air springs with internal bumpers and a single leveling valve on the forward drive axle. A dash-mounted dump switch with an indicator light lets the operator deflate the suspension. The front suspension uses taper leaf springs rated at 20,000 lbs with Tenneco shocks, greaseable front spring pins, and 80 mm front spring spacer blocks.
